"How much does a website cost?" is the first question we get, and the only honest answer is "it depends". Here is what it depends on, the price ranges you will see and how to compare two quotes without being misled by the headline number.

Price ranges on the market

Public offers from agencies in Romania fall roughly into three groups:

  • Template packages, about €200–700. A ready-made theme with your logo, text and photos. Quick and cheap, but it looks like many other sites and is hard to optimise seriously.
  • Custom websites, usually €1,000–3,000. A design made for your company, pages built around your services, basic search optimisation.
  • Complex projects, above €3,000. Many pages, several languages, integrations such as bookings, CRM or payments, professionally written content.

The ranges are indicative: every company prices differently and packages include very different things.

What drives the price

  1. Number of pages. One page per service is usually a good investment for Google.
  2. Content. Who writes the copy and where the photos come from. Content delays most projects and matters most to customers.
  3. Design. An adjusted template, or a design made for you and tested on your real content.
  4. Integrations. Forms connected to email or a CRM, online bookings, an AI agent, several languages.
  5. Optimisation. Speed, technical SEO, structured data, readiness for Google and AI assistants.

Costs after launch

Budget for the domain (around €10–20 a year for a .ro), hosting (from a few euros a month) and maintenance (security updates, backups, small changes). A cheap site can become expensive if every small change is billed separately or it has to be rebuilt after two years.

How to compare two quotes

  • Is the price fixed and in writing, or an estimate that can grow?
  • Which pages exactly are included?
  • Who writes the content?
  • Do you get access to the site, domain and hosting in your company's name?
  • What does a change cost after launch?
  • Are speed and SEO included? Ask for a mobile Lighthouse score at handover.
